I am really enjoying the normalcy of today and the past little while. The wonderful wave of friends is now an ebb and flow... Maryse only had a day of fatigue after the chemo and then bounced back amazingly and is, at the moment of writing at the gym. Which by the way turns out to be great for those on chemo according to WebMd, the excellent source of reliable health related info.
My anxiety is now at a manageably lower level, coming back in waves sometimes. So for now the sun is shining and all is quite well. Except maybe for my midnight confrontation with a very loud obnoxious neighbour - we got a bit heated. But probably it was good for my circulation, all the heart pumping that is.

Hi guys, Our voices may not be loud, but our heart waves move in your direction every day and this blog is logged onto in many places and times of days or nights (depending which time zzzzone the nomads find themselves.) Wonderful to feel how your lives are settling back into a rhythm of normalcy.
ReplyDeleteA gift of quote was given us as an anniversary gift (40!) last week. It was written in 89AD and so has probably rolled a few stones around in the interm years:
"Instead of wishing that things were the way you desire
Wish they were the way they are
And all will do well with your life."

Have been remiss in not reading the blog for a while so have been catching up. Your experience is so touching. Your touching such an experience. The universe, your universe is clearly unfolding as it should and you are easing into and embracing the folds. I am reminded of moments together with you over many many years - welcoming us to Twin Valleys, visiting at Habitat, the sweep of your arm as you toasted our picnic before a Johnny Clegg concert in Stellenbosch, breakfast (driving) at Peregrines (I'll never miss another one of those with you two); enjoying hilarious moments especially when I was voodooed into your chair. Now we may be visiting soon - in late November. I hope we can journey together even if it is breakfast at Olympia. Love Maurice. Oh and Happy 60th from me too. It sounds as if it was a wonderful celebration. You certainly get by with help from a lot of friends. That is wonderful. Sue has hers in early November. Like Howard I am of considerably more advanced years.
ReplyDeleteIt was lovely seeing you both the other day.
ReplyDeleteWe are in tune sending you love and light now and always...will stay in touch and stay connected...lots and lots of love and healing...Amanda & John
